About Magical Horizons
Magical Horizons is a family-driven creative brand rooted in storytelling, community, and a deep appreciation for the legacy and future of the Disney Parks. What began as a simple outlet for photography in 2018 has evolved into a polished livestreaming platform, a home studio broadcast series, and a growing multimedia presence anchored by authenticity, craft, and heart.
The journey started on December 16, 2018, when creator Aaron Giddens launched an Instagram page to showcase the “artistic” photos he had begun taking around Walt Disney World. Inspired by a photographer friend, Aaron wanted a place to explore the creative side of the parks he loved. The very next day, on December 17, 2018, he created a YouTube channel called My Disney World Fix. Its first upload was a recording he had captured a month earlier for personal use: the “Let the Magic Begin” rope-drop show on Mickey’s 90th birthday.
The first vlog created specifically for the channel was filmed on December 31, 2018 and posted on New Year’s Day 2019. It was a vulnerable moment — launching a video into the void with only three subscribers (himself, his dad, and a creator friend). But in Aaron’s words, the feeling was simple: “Here we go. It’s now or never.”
The early days brought the usual creative challenges: limited equipment, a Galaxy S9+ phone for both filming and audio, and editing on a nearly five-year-old Windows laptop barely holding together. But the desire to grow as a creator was stronger than the limitations. By February 2019, the channel expanded into livestreaming, becoming a hybrid vlog-and-live format. After a major audience response in the spring, the livestreaming format became the heart of the channel beginning May 27, 2019.
The next major transformation came with the arrival of Roxy in April 2021, when she moved to Florida from Chicago and joined the channel both on-camera and behind the scenes. Her creativity, warmth, and adventurous spirit — especially her willingness to try new foods and experiences in the parks — added new dimensions to the content. With her presence, the identity of the channel shifted naturally from My Disney World Fix to Our Disney World Fix, reflecting not just a partnership in life, but in purpose.
In July 2022, Aaron and Roxy welcomed their daughter Ariel. She made her on-camera debut a few months later, instantly becoming a beloved part of the channel’s community. Her smile, curiosity, and the privilege of watching her grow up experiencing the parks brought new emotional depth to the brand. Ariel represents the essence of why Magical Horizons exists: to celebrate imagination, joy, and the stories we pass to the next generation.
By December 2024, the brand had matured into something far larger than its original form. To honor its roots while looking toward the future, the family rebranded the channel as Magical Horizons — a name inspired by EPCOT, Walt Disney’s futurism, and the belief that creativity flourishes when we continually move toward the horizon.
Today, Magical Horizons blends high-quality theme park livestreams, thoughtful storytelling, and home-studio programming that combines Aaron’s broadcast expertise with the family’s shared love for Disney’s history and creative spirit. Aaron’s subtle but steady Christian faith shapes the channel’s ethos through kindness, integrity, and a commitment to living by example rather than proclamation.
The channel also produces Horizon Studio Sessions, a studio-based podcast that dives deeper into the stories shaping the parks, the creator landscape, and the wider community. With its symbolic sunrise imagery and rotating guests, the series reflects the brand’s dedication to conversation, insight, and creative exploration.
As Magical Horizons continues to grow, the family remains committed to building content that uplifts, informs, and inspires — with future aspirations including documentary-style projects and charity initiatives that align with their passion for creativity, community, and the arts.
What began as a young creator filming vlogs on a cellphone is now a family legacy in motion — a blend of imagination, history, and heart, always reaching for the next bright spark on the horizon.
